This large-scale group exhibition reexamines the genre of the American West through a contemporary lens, bringing together 12 invited artists alongside 102 selected works chosen from 1,555 submissions by 335 artists across the region. Through fresh interpretations of place, identity, land, and culture, Tilting West challenges the traditions of Western art and explores how the mythology of the West continues to shape the present, inviting audiences to experience the region not as a fixed idea, but as a living and evolving landscape of histories, communities, and possibilities.
