Dance is so beneficial for children in many ways. Combining physical fitness, mood-boosting and mental stimulation, creative expression and somatic stress release, taking dance classes has many positives that will impact the rest of their lives. Besides all of these incredible health benefits, taking classes is also a great way to make friends, promote teamwork and cultivate discipline. Plus, when you know how to dance, there is always something for you to do!
At the Arvada Center, we have a diverse selection of dance classes for new dancers who are just starting out, adults and children who just want to have fun, and those who may want to go on to dance professionally.
Our ballet program is based upon a blend of Royal Ballet and Vaganova schools of training. We honor and celebrate the history of ballet while incorporating 21st century dance medicine and kinesiology. Highlighted below are some of our ballet classes and camps that cover a range of experience and time commitments. Check out our Education catalog for a comprehensive list of all of our dance programs on the website: https://arvadacenter.org/education/dance
