The Arvada Center and African Leadership Group are thrilled to bring Carlou D to the Outdoor Amphitheatre for a summer concert. Carlou D is a Senegalese artist, singer and songwriter. Passionate about history and religious philosophy as a source of inspiration, his music stands out, from the start, thanks to his open-mindedness in the different subjects he tackles.
At his beginning, he performed in the Senegalese Hip Hop scene and adopted an innovative philosophy called "Benen Vibes Yenen Styles," which means another vibe, another style, a concept that marked and fascinated a whole generation.
Since then the artist has always innovated in his creations. He began by introducing live performance in the Senegalese rap sphere and insisted on musicality and originality. This explains the success of his first album entitled "Seede," a witness of the time he spent with the mythical group Positive Black Soul, released in 2004.
