Join us for this special pop-up exhibition and artist talk curated by Claudia Moran-Pichardo and Carina Bañuelos-Harrison of Museo de las Americas! Work by 12 Latinx and Indigenous artists will be on display at the Arvada Center, culminating in an evening of art and conversation that explore identity, self-expression, cultural lines, and differences that often go overlooked.
AMPLIFY: Museo de las Americas/ the Latinx Art Community Now. is a multifaceted composition by Latinx and Indigenous artists. While each creation can stand on its own conveying the artist’s emotions, tones and cultural experience, it is the combination that provides a rich, authentic and vibrant crescendo culminating in a contemporary expression of the traditional. Amplifying the work of Latinx and Indigenous artists is instrumental in transforming a world where the mundane and monotone exist and is the curatorial impetus for this exhibition.
AMPLIFY is a series of live performances that amplify voices that have not traditionally been heard - at the Center or beyond. A limited number of in-person tickets are available for this performance. It will also be livestreamed!
