Dance Academy

Dance Education at the Center

The Arvada Center Dance department has a well-established reputation for its exemplary dance program and is known for its professional dance instructors who teach the love of dance as well as the skills.

The Arvada Center has been offering quality dance classes for 42 years and is now entering its tenth season as a Dance Academy offering excellent training in ballet, jazz, modern and tap dance classes for dancers 6 - 19 years of age.

Arvada Center Dance Theatre:

The younger students, levels I & II, experience the joy of dance and music while learning discipline, technique and respect that is intrinsic to all forms of dance. As the dancers mature and improve they gradually take more classes each week to ensure a positive progression in their training. All Academy students have the opportunity to perform 6 times each spring on the Arvada Center's Main Stage Theatre. All of the Dance Academy's costumes are custom made and constructed by a dedicated team of volunteers.

The Academy's performing company, Arvada Center Dance Theatre, performs a third show each fall on the Main Stage Theatre, as well as several community outreach performances. Auditions are held in early June. For more information regarding auditions, please email Christina Noel Adcock at cnoel@arvadacenter.org

Due to multi-level class enrollment discounting, Dance Academy classes are not available for online registration. Please call the Box Office at 720-898-7200 for questions and enrollment.

Fall 2020 Classes

Our dance instructors and Arvada Center Education Division are excited to have students in our building for dance classes this fall. To keep our students and staff safe, we have implemented a number of safety measures and class-size restrictions.

  • Classes will still be limited to 9 students.
  • Cloth face coverings must be worn at all times at the Center
    • If a dancer takes more than 1 class in a day, they should have multiple masks.
  • Your temperature must be taken when you enter the Center
  • Keep physical distance as much as possible and wash your hands before and after dance classes.
  • Read, sign and return to your child’s teacher the “Health and Safety Requirements” document, linked below
  • There are some additional restrictions on the number of classes students will be allowed to enroll in. To ensure as many students can access classes of their level, we have implemented a wait-list system. Read more about that in the letter below.

Follow the link below for a message from Christina Noel-Adcock and more details on facial coverings, class restrictions and more.

Fall Class Information

A completed and signed Participant Information and Medical Care Authorization form is required for each class a child attends.
