The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will hold auditions for Waitress AEA ECC and Non-AEA Chorus Dancers and Singers on May 13 and 14, 2024. The Arvada Center production will be directed by Lynne Collins and choreographed by Taeler Cyrus. The Arvada Center's Artistic Director is Lynne Collins. The Musical Director for Waitress is Susan Draus. The Arvada Center is located at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. in Arvada, Colorado.
AEA Chorus dancer auditions are on May 13, 2024, the Women Identifying Chorus dance call from 10:00 am – 11:00 am and Men Identifying Chorus dance call from 11:15 am – 12:15 pm by appointment only. Non-AEA Chorus dancer auditions are on May 13, 2024, the Women Identifying Chorus dance call from 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm and Men Identifying Chorus dance call from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm by appointment only. AEA Chorus singer auditions are May 14, 2024, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Non AEA Chorus singer auditions are May 14, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Actors should prepare:
For AEA ECC & Non-AEA Dance Call - Actors should be prepared to learn and perform a dance combination and may be asked to sing after the dance call. Actors should prepare 16 - 32 bars from a song appropriate to the style of the show. Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. No recorded music.

A current headshot and résumé are required.
Equity members must present a current equity ID card at check-in.
This is an Equity LORT B production, non-equity actors will be considered.

Performances are Wednesday through Saturday evenings with matinees on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays for a total of seven shows per week.
Chorus Character descriptions:
[MALE ENSEMBLE] - Males, any ethnicity, ranging from Mid-Late 20’s to late 40’s. Must have excellent pop/rock voices in the style of Sara Bareilles. Must have excellent comedic timing and be able to play a range of characters comprising the community in which the story takes place. Must be strong movers/dancers.
[FEMALE ENSEMBLE] - Females, any ethnicity, ranging from mid 20’s to late 30’s. Must have excellent pop/rock voices in the style of Sara Bareilles. Must have excellent comedic timing and be able to play a range of characters comprising the community in which the story takes place. Must be strong movers/dancers.
