Previews January 29 – 31

The Arvada Center once again produces a classic play with contemporary relevance. Emotion envelops the audience as the drama plays out about one man’s struggle to stand by his beliefs, remain loyal to his King and the price he pays for his convictions. Robert Bolt’s Tony Award®-winning classic is based on the true story of Sir Thomas More, the 16th century Chancellor of England. This engaging commentary on the treacherous interplay of church and state during the reign of King Henry VIII presents an inescapable ethics lesson.

Note: The Arvada Center is please to have Anthony Powell directing for the Center for the first time. Powell’s director credits include the Denver Center Theatre Company, Curious Theatre Company and Creede Repertory Theatre.
